In moments between teaching and observing students, I would test my skills and keep an eye on them. These are some head studies. I learnt to draw by instinct, which was self-taught. However, I then learned and taught three structured techniques. I taught three methods: measured, constructing a mannequin and instinctual (drawing without question).
